Elder Moves was
founded in 1989 by Mary Ann Yates as an extension of her successful residential
cleaning business.
Having become close to many clients and their families, Mary Ann saw a need
for a service that could assist in their transitional needs. Some were looking
to relocate and others to modify existing conditions. While their needs
varied, change and uncertainty were the common threads. And there was no
single knowledgeable resource available to answer their questions and meet
their needs.
Mary Ann networked with experts within the field and developed a team of
professional resources within the transitional and health care industries.
In doing so, she created a unique resource that has been a business model
for others as well as the subject of numerous national and regional magazine
articles.
One of the greatest sources of pride comes from the fact that Elder Moves
has become a hub and a forum for information and innovation within the senior
care community.
